I continue to be astonished by people who are surprised to hear stories of racism encountered by black people in our fair city.
To be fair, (TO BE FAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRR) when I first started listening to the stories of my female friends about misogyny and rape culture I was kind of skeptical. After examining myself and my own beliefs did I gather enough insight for an empathetic look at the situation.
