I stumbled across a rebroadcast of Globe and Mail editor in chief David Walmsley’s speech to the Canadian Club delivered on April 8.

I have to say it was fascinating. Didn’t know much about him though I do write for the Globe from time to time and I read it everyday.

For those interested in the passion behind the headlines, the moral imperative to get to the truth of the story and the dedication that journalism is a pillar of democracy, it’s worthwhile reading.
